For PC-based scanning, the PaperStream IP driver combines with Clear Image Capture technology for crisp, clear images and top-rated OCR accuracy. While Clear Image Capture together with RICOH’s unique next generation ‘iiGA’ System on Chip (SoC) deliver unmatched OCR results for PC-free scanning.

When connected to a PC running next generation PaperStream ClickScan documents can be scanned and sent directly to the cloud with a single touch, no interaction with the PC is required. PaperStream ClickScan also provides ad-hoc scan-then-save creation of editable Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents.

For PC-free operation, the latest and most advanced DirectScan functionality enables multiple users to scan directly to 3 pre-programmed destinations via the buttons on the scanner. Embedded OCR functionality within the iiGA SoC means searchable PDFs can be instantly created without the need for a PC.
